NotesReal hot spring water in Bongcheon-dong. Certified alkaline water by Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources. 10,000 KRW daytime entry. 4 hours free parking; closes at 11 PM. It is at Bongil Plaza, 28 Euncheon-ro, Gwanak-gu. Four tubs: the oncheon (hot spring) bath, a warm bath, a cold plunge and an aqua walking massage bath, with the water at pH 9.12. Three saunas — dry, steam, and a bulhanjeungmak fired with pine wood. The heated rooms run to charcoal, salt, silver pyramid, yellow clay and forest bathing, plus an igloo room for cold jjimjil. The yellow clay bulgama (wood-fired kiln room) is women-only, so it is off limits from the men's side. Bring a few things. Shampoo, body wash and conditioner are not stocked, so pack your own. Hair dryers cost 200 KRW; toner and lotion are there. Towels, bath towels, lockers and slippers are provided. Jjimjilbang clothing and a sleeping blanket rent for 2,000 KRW each. Entry is 10,000 KRW by day, 11,000 KRW after 20:00. Hours are 05:00-23:00, open year round. A restaurant, vending machines, a children's play area, billiards, table tennis, an arcade, a charging cafe, a skincare room and a golf range share the building, and the fitness centre is free to use. Grabbing a shower station at peak times is a scramble, so a weekday is the better call.

Free parking for 4 hours. Free fitness center access. Evening rate (after 8 PM): 11,000 KRW. No shampoo, body wash, or conditioner provided — bring your own. Hair dryer costs 200 KRW. Toner and lotion available. Shower stalls can be crowded at peak times — weekday visits recommended.

Places like this do not take bookings. Pay at the counter and go in. Know the steps below and a first visit is fine.
From the door to the exit
- Pay the entry fee at the counter. Many take cards, but a little cash is the safe bet. You get a shoe-locker key.
- Put everything in a locker in the changing room. The bath area is fully nude — no swimwear. Wear the key on your wrist.
- Shower before entering any tub. This is the one rule everyone notices.
- For a body scrub (seshin), go straight to the scrub attendant inside the bath area. Usually cash, and you wait your turn.
- Return the key at the counter on the way out. Some places settle extras (scrub, drinks) at that point.
Good to know
- Men and women bathe separately. In jjimjilbang common areas you wear the provided sauna clothes.
- Large tattoos may be refused at some places. If that concerns you, check before you go.
- A towel is usually provided but small. Scrub mitts, toothbrushes and razors are sold at the counter.
- No photos inside the bath area. Easiest to leave your phone in the locker.
