Haemian Green Tea Seawater Sauna
해미안 녹차해수사우나
Jeju sauna with seawater and green tea. Ocean-view outdoor bath.
About this place
NotesA Jeju bathhouse built around green tea and seawater baths. The same operator also runs a guesthouse nearby. Two cold plunges: freshwater at about 15C, seawater at about 14C. There is a warm seawater bath as well, so the sea shows up on both the hot and the cold side. A warm bath and a hot bath round out the basics, and the two tubs the name is built on are the green tea bath made with Jeju green tea and the seawater bath drawn from the sea off Jeju. The signature is the outdoor bath with the ocean in front of it. The ocean-view dry sauna is the other reason people make the drive. Saunas are separated by gender. There is a rest area, and the same building holds a fitness club, a skin care room and a foot care room. Haemian Pension nearby is run by the same operator, so a soak and an overnight fit together. Admission is 11,000 KRW. Open year-round, last call at 21:00. The water is said to be cleaner after 20:00, and some regulars time their visit for the final hour. Parking available, cash and cards, no Wi-Fi. The building has some years on it, but the price is low enough that most visitors take the trade. It is a fair drive from central Jeju City, and without a membership the repeat visits add up.
