Halmae-tang

A seawater hot spring that has been a fixture of Haeundae for generations. The water is the whole point. Three wells 900m underground feed the building directly, with no mixing tank in between, which is how the 60C is held. The natural hot spring bath that takes that water is listed at 60C. Beyond it, a warm bath and a cold plunge. There is no sauna room of any kind, so read this as a hot spring bathhouse rather than a jjimjilbang. Opened 1935, renovated 2023. The whole second floor is given over to private family baths. The public bath is 7,000 KRW; family baths start at 40,000 KRW for two. Couples and families with children are both welcome. Towels and bath towels, shampoo, body wash, slippers, a dryer and lockers are all provided, so you can turn up empty-handed. Parking available, cash and cards.
