About this place

Notes

Note: closed for about four weeks from 28 July 2026 for summer renovation. Reopening and bookings are expected to resume between late August and early September, with the exact date to be announced. During the works the stove in the platform room is being changed from wood-burning to electric, and the sauna benches and other fittings are being repaired. A sauna made from an old house in Jocheon, Jeju. Right next door is the spring water site islanders have used for generations, and stepping onto the terrace from the second-floor sauna puts Jocheon beach directly in front of you. It is wood-fired and Finnish in style. You pour water on the stones yourself, and the tiered seating gets hotter the higher you sit. There are three sauna spaces upstairs, each different in character: a platform room, a chair room and an electric sauna room. The chair room has its own cool-down balcony, making it the most private. There are no baths; the place is built around the sauna, the outdoor cool-down and the view. Two hours for two people is 60,000 KRW, with extra charges for a larger group. Shower time counts within those two hours, so plan accordingly. Bath clothes, towels and sauna hats are provided, and a welcome tea is served upstairs. The ground-floor cafe sells coffee alongside things like kimchi noodle soup and baked eggs. The sauna is prepaid through Naver; food and drinks are settled on the way out. Sauna slots run at 10:30, 12:30, 14:30, 16:30 and 18:30. Closed Tuesdays. Since appearing on television it books up quickly, so reserve ahead. There is no car park of its own; public lots are a three to eight minute walk away. Preschool children and pets are not admitted. It is a little over twenty minutes by car from Jeju Airport and under ten from Hamdeok Beach.
