About this place
NotesDesigned by master architect Mimar Sinan in 1580, commissioned by Ottoman Grand Admiral Kılıç Ali Paşa. Restored to glory in 2012. The magnificent single dome above the Camegah is 14m across and 17m high — one of the largest hamam domes by Sinan. Upon arrival, a personal attendant welcomes you with homemade fruit syrup and hot towel. The traditional ritual of scrub and foam massage takes about 90 minutes under the central dome at up to 50°C. Located in Tophane, near Karaköy and Galata.
