Myeongdong Mud Spa

Myeongdong Mud Spa is a premium mud spa in the middle of Myeongdong. Its signature offering is Bichae Therapy, a name that combines bium (emptying) and chaeum (filling), described as a program pairing circulation-focused care with herbal Korean ingredients. It is especially popular with international visitors. The treatments use natural mud from Boryeong, and the spa says its programs were co-developed by a skin aesthetics doctor and a pharmacist. Alongside the full-body mud pack, the menu lists far-infrared therapy and full-body gua sha. Prices are ₩120,000 for a 60-minute back and foot session or a 60-minute facial, ₩150,000 for a 90-minute face and foot or back and foot session, ₩170,000 for a 90-minute facial, ₩250,000 for a 120-minute full body course, and ₩300,000 for the 150-minute lymphatic, V-line or VIP course. Every treatment includes use of the sauna and showers. The bathing area has a ginseng bath, and there are two sauna rooms: a dry amethyst sauna heated with dry air, and a steam-filled germanium room. Towels, shampoo and body wash are provided, and there is a waiting area with Wi-Fi. The spa is on the 3rd floor at 22 Myeongdong 8na-gil, Jung-gu, Seoul, 174m from Exit 6 of Myeongdong Station, and is open until 00:30. Reservations are required and there is no parking.
