NotesA unique detox spa concept located near Hakdong Station. The signature treatment is padongseok (wave stone) therapy, a dry warming session on a terra-stone bed made from a special mineral rock, with each guest given an assigned spot. A course combining spa massage and stone sauna starts at 185,000 KRW. This is an appointment-only, one-to-one treatment spa, so book ahead: reservations go through the KakaoTalk channel for the Cheongdam main branch, and dates can be taken up to one month out. Doors close at 21:00, and the spa shuts on major Korean holiday days. The address is 12-11 Hakdong-ro 55-gil, Gangnam-gu, basement level 1, about 203m from Exit 4 of Gangnam-gu Office Station. Parking is paid: 4,000 KRW for 180 minutes, 4,000 KRW per additional 180 minutes, capped at 8,000 KRW. Valet is 4,000 KRW. Wi-Fi is available and credit cards are accepted. Cheongdam is the directly operated flagship, with affiliated branches in Anyang, Myeongdong, Suji, Seolhaeone, Busan LCT, Starfield and The Hannam. Prices run high, so decide on a course before booking.
