About this place

Notes

A hotel-grade sauna within easy reach of Seoul that welcomes non-guests. Sitting at the foot of Cheongyesan, the surroundings are quiet and green. The place is built around its saunas, and the faint herbal-medicine scent in the dry room leaves an impression, with the tidiness you expect of a hotel sauna. Warm, cold and hot baths plus a rosemary event bath make a compact but complete lineup. One caveat: there are many stairs along the route, so older visitors and children should take care. Listed temperatures are 44°C for the hot bath, 40°C for the warm bath, 40°C for the rosemary event bath and 20°C for the cold bath, though some find the cold bath cooler than posted, and dry sauna readings vary by day. The two sauna rooms are a 90°C dry sauna carrying that herbal scent and a 50°C wet sauna. A fitness room, cheryeonjang in Korean, operates alongside. Admission is ₩24,000 for adults and ₩14,000 for children, with a discount for hotel guests. Hours are 07:00 to 21:00, last entry 20:30, and the spa closes on the second Monday of each month. Children under eight are not admitted. Cheonggyesan Ipgu Station on the Shinbundang Line is 26 meters from the entrance. Weekends draw crowds and people often reserve spots with their belongings, so a weekday visit is worth considering.

Practical notes

Extremely crowded on weekends with aggressive seat-saving. Some reports of occasional odor issues. Weekdays are the better choice. As of July 2026, the sauna fee for hotel guests was lowered. Visitors report the cold bath feels around 18°C (posted 20°C), while the dry sauna temperature can vary by day.
