Solo Sauna Repo Noryangjin

This is a private space for taking a sauna alone. The hinoki-scented Finnish sauna heats up sharply once you do a self löyly, pouring water over the hot stones yourself. The rest area where you lie down feels like outdoor cooling, and totonoi comes easily there. Ninety minutes goes by fast enough that it feels short. The address is 7 Nodeul-ro 2-gil, Dongjak-gu, Seoul, and it runs on reservations only. Rates are ₩45,000 for 60 minutes and ₩55,000 for 90 minutes per person. It closes on Lunar New Year's Day, and weekends are busier, so weekdays are advised. Unlike a shared public bathhouse, the room is yours for the booked slot, so there is no queue and you set the heat yourself. Note that there are no communal soaking pools here; it is a sauna-centered visit. The sauna is Finnish style, lined in hinoki cypress, with the temperature listed at 70°C. Löyly means pouring water over heated stones to raise steam. For bathing there is a private tub, filled with hot or cold water as you choose; ask in advance if you want contrast bathing. A robe, jjimjil clothes (loose cotton sauna wear), towels, shampoo, body wash and a locker are provided, so you can arrive with nothing. Sikhye and iced coffee can be ordered, with wi-fi and card payment supported. Couples and children are welcome.
