Spa Land Centum City

I go here every time I visit Busan. The pool quality and scale rank among the strongest of any Korean jjimjilbang (Korean sauna lounge). They use natural hot spring water drawn from beneath Haeundae. The pool variety is remarkable. They are separated by temperature and there are herbal pools too. I went 38°C → 40°C → 42°C, spending 10 minutes in each. The cold pool is well maintained. The jjimjilbang zone and the pool zone are separate, so you can use the pools without entering the noisier lounge area — a real advantage. The rest area is spacious, good for lying down after a soak. There are 18 spring-fed pools and 13 themed heat rooms. The bulgama (traditional fire kiln) is the hottest, lined with far-infrared clay kiln stone; the Roman and Hamam Rooms recreate ancient Roman and Turkish bathhouses as steam spaces. Charcoal, clay, salt, hinoki, phytoncide and ice rooms complete the set, plus an outdoor foot bath facing Centum City, an esthetic spa and a restaurant on the second floor, and a recliner lounge and sleeping room. Entry is ₩25,000 for adults, ₩20,000 for students, and ₩16,000 after 19:00. Hours are 09:00-22:00, last entry 21:00; the venue closes three times a year, so check before travelling. Ticket resale sites sell entry 15–20% cheaper, and spending ₩10,000 or more inside earns a six-hour extension and six hours of free parking.
