Banyan Tree Spa Seoul
반얀트리 스파 서울
Looking down at Seoul from a Namsan-view pool.
About this place
NotesIt is expensive. But Namsan is right there, so you can look down over central Seoul from the pool, and that view is the whole point. Floating in the infinity pool and looking down, there is a busy world turning below while you are simply suspended in water. The spa treatments are professional and the space is quiet. The price makes it hard to visit often, but it works for a day when you genuinely need a change of mood. The address is 60 Jangchungdan-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul, and the facility is open only to members and hotel guests. Hours are 06:00 to 22:00, and it closes on the first Tuesday of every month. A reservation is required, and pool time is limited. Seshin (Korean full-body scrub) is offered from 09:00 to 19:00, with morning slots described as the more relaxed option. Seshin is a service in which an attendant scrubs away dead skin softened by a long soak. The men's and women's sections each have a hot bath, a cold bath, a dry sauna and a wet sauna. Beyond that there is an indoor swimming pool, The Oasis outdoor pool, a sauna lounge, a men's sleeping room and a women's rest area, plus access to Banyan Tree Spa treatments and the fitness center. Amenities are provided, so there is little to pack. For the Namsan view from the infinity pool, aim for the hours around sunset.
