Keeps a foreigner-only booking page linked from Instagram (@heum_spa); Japanese media note that Japanese is not spoken
· For a first time, the basic 85-minute course at either is plenty: Houttuynia & Fermented Mugwort at Yeoun (₩133,000), the milk scrub at Heum (from ₩121,000)
· The one you can book right away without a Korean phone number is Yeoun (a LUWEI partner)

What first-timers worry about — undressing, pain, the order, your period
Do I have to undress?
It's a private room — just you and your therapist. Clothes stay in the room (Yeoun has an in-room clothes steamer cabinet), and during the scrub you're covered with a towel and worked on one area at a time. At Yeoun your eyes are covered while it's done, which takes the edge off a first time.
Does it hurt?
You soak first (about 15 minutes at Yeoun) so the skin is softened; most people describe it as tingling rather than painful. The pressure can be adjusted — just say so. If your skin is sensitive, choose a gentler course such as Hydrating & Soothing at Yeoun or the milk scrub at Heum.
What's the order?
Your own shower → soak → scrub → shampoo → pack or oil (depends on the course) → finish. The scrub is one step in the middle; what comes before and after takes longer.
What about my period?
At Yeoun you can come during your period (confirmed by the venue). For Heum, check with the studio when booking.
Also
· Take off makeup before the bath (there's a face-pack step)
· There is no tipping
· Yeoun keeps cleansing foam, basic skincare and dryers in the room, so you can come empty-handed
Read it as a course, not a scrub — the same scrub, a different 85 minutes
The scrub itself is the same at both. What differs is what comes before and after it — which is why the menu is easier to choose from if you read it as a course rather than a scrub.
Yeoun — every course starts with a bath, then a collagen mask, the full-body scrub and back steam. They part ways after that
· Mugwort oil massage → Houttuynia & Fermented Mugwort, 85 min, ₩133,000 (the one Japanese guests pick most)
· Gold oil care → Premium Gold, 85 min, ₩143,000 (the one Korean guests pick most)
· Jojoba oil → Cocktail, 90 min, ₩150,000
· Coconut and milk massage for moisture → Special Coconut, 100 min, ₩220,000
· Up to a facial nutrition stage → Swiss Youst Lamelhodem, 120 min, ₩295,000
Spa Heum — per public information, its signature is a milk scrub line (from ₩121,000, 85 min) that uses milk to soften the feel of the scrub towel, and it is described as choosing a moisturising oil after hearing about your skin. Check the studio for the full menu.
The rule of thumb is simple: 85 minutes for a first time, a gentler oil if your skin is sensitive, 100 minutes or more if you want to lie down longer.
How to book — without a Korean phone number
Yeoun (LUWEI partner)
1. Open the studio page→
2. Under "Book", choose a course, date and time
3. Pay only the ₩50,000 deposit by foreign card; the rest at the studio
4. When the studio accepts, you get a confirmation email. No reply within the set time means an automatic cancellation and full refund
Spa Heum
Book through the foreigner-only page linked from its Instagram profile, @heum_spa (public information; no Japanese service).
Yeoun is a LUWEI partner (LUWEI earns a commission on bookings made through its pages). Spa Heum has no relationship with LUWEI; its details are compiled from public information. LUWEI has not tried either in person, and prices and hours can change. A body scrub is not a medical treatment, and how it feels varies from person to person.
