Seoul Head Spa Prices — Four Tiers from 25,000 to 230,000 Won, and How to Pick by Men, Couples and Late Hours (Fall 2026)

Tanpopo Hair Hongdae — one minute from Hapjeong Station exit 2. A Japanese-style head spa crossed with Korean herbal medicine, with a ladder of courses: basic shampoo 25 min 25,000 won → carbonated head spa 30 min 40,000 → relax 40 min 60,000 → ageing 50 min 70,000. It is effectively the only place in Seoul you could call a "30,000-won head spa". Sequence: counselling → deep cleanse → scalp massage → shoulders → treatment → scaling → collagen. 10:00–20:00, closed Mondays, booking required.

One thing to know about this tier: the 25,000-won course is a very thorough shampoo rather than a head spa. If you expect a scalp scan or an ampoule, start at the 60,000-won relax course — which puts you in tier 2 below.

TBC Total Beauty Care Myeongdong — Myeongdong 4-gil, 3rd–4th floor. 50-minute head spa 60,000 won (long hair +10,000–20,000). Scaling → mist → shampoo and treatment → ampoule → finish. Open 10:00–22:00 every day, so it works late in Myeongdong. Listed as Japanese-speaking.

Yumea Head Spa Jamsil — Jamsil Saenae Station exit 4. The weekday-morning-only Morning Spa Basic at 69,000 won is the heart of this tier; scalp-odour and flake care 79,000, sensitive scalp 89,000. Scalp scan free with any care. Closed Tuesdays, 11:00–20:00. Reviews mention couples falling asleep, so it leans Japanese-style.

Ciel de Scalp Hongdae — six minutes from Hongik Univ. Station exit 1. The 25-minute short courses (cooling scalp + neck, or trapezius + neck + décolleté) are 68,000 won — easy to slot into a tight day, with a members' price on the first visit. Mon–Fri 11:00–21:00, weekends 10:00–21:00.

Why this tier makes the most sense for a Japanese visitor: it costs the same as a 60-minute dry head spa in Japan and includes the scalp scan, scaling and ampoule. It is not the "lie down, no water" dry style, though — your hair is washed at the shampoo station, so you leave with it blow-dried but freshly washed. Better as a morning start than right before a dinner reservation.

Mr. Park Head Spa Myeongdong — two minutes from Myeongdong Station. 80,000–120,000 won, +10,000 for hair below the shoulder. One-to-one private room, from scaling to nutrient ampoule. Mon–Sat 10:00–21:00 (last 19:30), closed Sundays. One of the few head spas bookable with prepayment on Klook and KKday, so it works without a Korean phone number — but arrive ten minutes early or the booking auto-cancels.

Mosante Head Spa Hapjeong — two minutes from Hapjeong Station exit 2, 4th floor. Cypress Forest Healing Spa 110,000 won, the same course for two 220,000. Migraine-relief, exam-season brain refresh and mum-care courses 110,000 each; hair-loss and seborrheic care 130,000. Daily 10:00–22:00. Reviews repeatedly note there is no upselling.

Yumea Basic 60 min 100,000 / Signature 80 min 150,000 — Yumea from tier 2, regular courses.

Arons Roll & Comb Parnas — inside Parnas Mall, Samseong-dong. 80,000–120,000, a 90-minute premium course, hair services on the same day. 08:00–22:00, closed Sundays. Shortest walk if you are at COEX or a hotel there.

Hats Off Apgujeong — head spa basic 100,000, hair-loss regeneration 150,000, scalp lifting 200,000. Microcurrent device plus hands. 08:00–20:00, closed Sun–Mon.

Blowblush Cheongdam — 110,000 per session, 30 years at the same address. Booked via Kakao Hairshop. 10:00–19:00, closed Sundays; the interior is dated, reviews say.

From this tier on, private room, one-to-one and ampoule are the baseline. The difference from tier 2 is time (60–90 minutes) and space rather than the kind of treatment — choose 3 if a quiet private room matters, 2 if the price does.

THE SEOL:HA Private Scrub & Spa Hongdae — a three-storey hanok-concept house. Head spa deep scaling 45 min 158,000 won, organic healing 60 min 216,000, Bliss Hygge 75 min 285,000. Scrub is a separate menu, so specify when booking. 09:00–21:00 (last 20:00). Japanese menu in the Instagram highlights.

Eco Jardin Lotte World Tower — B1 of the tower mall. Head spa from 180,000, 18-step stem-cell course 250,000. Free AI scalp scan, wash and blow-dry included with every treatment. 10:30–22:00 (last booking 20:00), open daily.

Headspa Seoul Yeonnam — relax 45 min 120,000, brain detox 200,000, signature scalp + skin from 300,000 (VAT extra). Single and couple rooms. Booking only, 10:00–22:00.

Sage Hill Yongsan — spa 60 min from 180,000, yoga alongside. 11:00–20:00 by appointment; first visits start with a consultation.

Josiane Laure Flagship Hannam — French natural-spa brand. Hair & scalp 70 min 210,000, signature 120 min 380,000. Until 21:00, closed Sundays.

Christian U&V Hannam — relaxing water therapy 70 min 230,000. Booking only, until 20:30, closed Sundays.

At this tier you are buying the space, the brand and the water (water therapy) more than a head spa. Honestly, on the scalp alone the result is not far from tier 3 — so tier 4 for an anniversary, a hotel weekend or a gift; tiers 2–3 if the scalp is the point.

Men — unlike scrub studios, none of the 15 head spas on this page is marked women-only. Shops with dedicated hair-loss or seborrheic courses (Hats Off, Ciel de Scalp, Mosante, Yumea) tend to have plenty of male clients. The places where a man from Japan needs to ask "are men allowed?" are the women-only scrub rooms, not head spas — though a one-line check when booking never hurts.

Couples / two people — to be side by side in the same room you need a two-person room: Mosante (couple spa 220,000 won), Headspa Seoul (couple room), Yumea (couple reviews). Elsewhere rooms are single, so you book back-to-back or go separately.

After 10 pm — open until 22:00: TBC Myeongdong, Mosante, Ciel de Scalp (21:00), Headspa Seoul, Eco Jardin (last booking 20:00), Arons. Nothing later. On a late-arrival night, do not squeeze in a head spa; book the next morning instead.

Long hair — some shops add a surcharge below shoulder length: TBC (+10,000–20,000), Mr. Park (+10,000). Mention your hair length in the booking message and there is no discussion at the counter.

Head spa bookings in Seoul run through four channels.

· NAVER Booking — Yumea, Ciel de Scalp, Mosante, Headspa Seoul. Needs a Korean mobile number for verification, so a Japanese number usually gets stuck.
· Instagram DM — Ciel de Scalp, Mosante, Yumea, Hats Off, Christian U&V. Works, but replies often take a day or more and your slot may be gone by then.
· Online prepayment — Mr. Park (Klook, KKday). The only route where a Japanese card completes the whole booking. Arrive ten minutes early or it auto-cancels.
· Kakao Hairshop or phone — Blowblush (Kakao Hairshop), Tanpopo (phone, website). Korean required.

So the practical order is: (1) Mr. Park → Klook; (2) everywhere else, send an Instagram DM one to two weeks before the trip; (3) if there is no reply, or the shop only takes phone or NAVER, LUWEI phones the shop for you, free — the "We'll call the shop for you" button on each venue card on this page.

On the day — no need to remove makeup, but skip hair products (wax, spray) so the scaling works. Cards accepted everywhere, no tipping. You leave washed and blow-dried, so the rest of the day can be planned normally.
