About 1 hour by car from central Sapporo. Jotetsu Bus "Kappa Liner" from Sapporo Station (reservation required). 8 free foot baths scattered around town. Especially recommended in autumn foliage season. Jotetsu bus set ¥1,800 = round trip + onsen entry. The Iwato Kannondo cave temple runs 120m. In winter, pair with Sapporo ski resorts.
