Co-ed Jjimjilbang in Busan — Which Venues Actually Have One (2026)

Busan's bathing culture grew around hot springs. Gender-separated bathhouses drawing real spring water — Dongnae Oncheonjang, the Haeundae seawater springs — have been part of neighborhoods here for generations, while the shared floor where everyone sits around in matching cotton loungewear arrived mainly with the large complexes. That is why typing jjimjilbang (찜질방) into a map app in Busan returns saunas and bathhouses mixed in. Searching sauna (사우나) and oncheon (온천) instead gives a noticeably different set.

One more thing: a number of neighborhood bathhouses closed after 2020 without their listings being updated. For a first visit it is safer to call and confirm the venue is open.

₩25,000 for adults, ₩20,000 for students, ₩16,000 after 7 PM. Open 09:00–22:00 with last entry at 21:00, and three scheduled closure periods a year, so check before you go.

It has 13 themed heated rooms and uses hot spring water drawn from beneath Haeundae. The heated-room floor and the bath zone are separate, so you can skip the former and just soak quietly. The practical advantage is the connection to Centum City Station on Line 2, which means no transfer from Sasang or Seomyeon.

Third-party ticket sites run 15–20% cheaper, and spending ₩10,000 or more inside adds a six-hour extension plus six hours of free parking.

₩19,000 on weekdays and ₩21,000 on weekends for jjimjilbang plus sauna (10-hour basis), or ₩10,000 for sauna only (3 hours). The heated-room floor runs 24 hours; the sauna runs 06:00–24:00.

It sits on Dalmaji Hill, so most of the facility looks out over the water, and the baths use seawater spring water drawn from 410m underground. The 1,600-pyeong site includes an outdoor bath, seven outdoor foot baths, and a cave room that suits solo visitors.

₩13,000 for adults on the jjimjilbang floor and ₩9,000 for children; the hot spring alone is ₩11,000 and ₩8,000. Weekends, public holidays, and weekdays after 9 PM are charged at ₩13,000. It is open 24 hours year-round, which works if you land late.

Facilities include an outdoor bath, a pyramid bath, a traditional hanjeungmak kiln, a germanium sauna, a charcoal sauna, and a 500-pyeong car park. The catch is that no subway line runs to Yeongdo, so you arrive by bus or taxi. It pairs naturally with a Taejongdae or Bongnaesan day.

The spa pass starts at ₩40,000 and the combined pass, which includes the waterpark, at ₩60,000. Open 10:00–21:30, closing early at 18:00 on Tuesdays.

It is inside ELCITY in Haeundae, with five themed heated rooms and an outdoor onsen called Cheongsudang. At more than double the price of the other three, it fits a planned day out rather than a regular habit. Weekday evenings and weekend mornings are the quieter windows, and timing your visit around sunset changes the view considerably.

If you are staying a month and looking for somewhere to go two or three times a week, one option is to trade the co-ed floor for price and access.

Gukje Mineral Spring Oncheon — 70 Geoje-daero, Busanjin-gu, floors 7–9. ₩13,000 on weekdays, ₩15,000 on weekends and holidays, ₩10,000 for children, and ₩130,000 for a 10-visit pass. Open 06:00–23:00, closed the third Thursday of each month. It draws mildly alkaline mineral water from 851m underground, and the interior carries a hinoki scent with a tiered dry sauna running around 75°C. It is a few stops from Seomyeon on Line 1, which makes it practical from a central base.

Hurshimchung — Dongnae-gu, ₩15,000 on weekdays and ₩18,000 on weekends. Open 05:30–22:00 with last entry at 21:30. At 1,300 pyeong it carries one of the wider ranges of pool types in Busan, including outdoor, herbal, and seawater baths. Five minutes on foot from Oncheonjang Station on Line 1, with 50% off for Hotel Nongshim guests.

Both are gender-separated, so relaxing in the same space as your companion is not possible.

Search sauna (사우나) and oncheon (온천) as well as jjimjilbang (찜질방) — in Busan those three words return different sets.

Listed hours and closure flags are often behind, so calling ahead is the safer move for a first visit.
