Best 7 Spas in Busan — Haeundae & Gwangalli Ocean View
01

Busan is a sauna city

Busan has an incredible range of bathing culture. We went beyond the famous Spa Land to find where locals actually go.

02

Spa Land Centum City — A Well-Known Jjimjilbang in Korea

25,000 KRW (16,000 KRW after 7pm). A jjimjilbang people often say you have to visit when in Busan, with 13 sauna rooms and 6 baths using natural hot spring water from beneath Haeundae. The bath area is separate from the noisy jjimjilbang section, so you can enjoy a quiet soak. Weekdays are paradise. 15-20% discount on external ticket sites.

03

Bongnae-tang — Busan Bathing Culture Since 1986

9,000 KRW. A historic neighborhood bathhouse in Yeongdo-gu, operating since 1986. Famous as a Busan bath tour stop, with a bathhouse lounge cafe on the 5th floor. Closed Tuesdays, open until 7pm.

04

Hurshimchung — A Large 1,300-Pyeong Public Bathhouse

15,000 KRW weekdays, 18,000 KRW weekends. The most diverse bathing experience in Busan — over 11 baths including outdoor, herbal, and seawater, all using natural hot spring water. The 1,300-pyeong scale is almost overwhelming on your first visit.

05

Halmae-tang — 90 Years of Seawater Hot Springs

7,000 KRW for public bath, family bath from 40,000 KRW for 2. Opened in 1935, this seawater hot spring has served Haeundae for over 90 years. Water is supplied directly from 900m underground at 60°C. Family baths are available if you are visiting with company. Closed Tuesdays, last entry at 8pm.

06

Geumsaem-tang — A Women-Only Bathhouse Known for Its Water

8,000 KRW. Uses natural mineral water from 200m beneath Geumjeongsan mountain. A women-only bathhouse with unique rules (no hair dye, no oils) to protect water quality. Retro neighborhood bath vibes. Last entry at 2pm — plan accordingly.

Tips for a Busan Bath Tour

For a Busan bath tour, start mornings at Geumsaem-tang (closes early) or Bongnae-tang, then finish afternoons at Hurshimchung or Spa Land. Pair Halmae-tang with your Haeundae itinerary. Most provide towels, but bringing your own is more convenient.
