Haeundae Jjimjilbang: Spa Land or Hillspa? — Daytime Centum City, the 24-Hour Hill Over the Sea, or a Plain Hot-Spring Bathhouse (Autumn 2026)

Search for a jjimjilbang in Haeundae and two names come up first: Spa Land in Centum City and Hillspa. Both are popular, but they are completely different places. This page sorts them by what you actually want — a daytime soak after shopping, somewhere to sleep after a late arrival, or just a cheap hot-spring bath — and adds Halmae-tang, Spa Marine, Aqua Palace in Gwangalli and Club D Oasis. Based on venues' published information, with VISIT BUSAN PASS coverage noted.

Haeundae Jjimjilbang: Spa Land or Hillspa? — Daytime Centum City, the 24-Hour Hill Over the Sea, or a Plain Hot-Spring Bathhouse (Autumn 2026)
01

Short answer — four choices, depending on what you want

· Daytime, after shopping, a clean modern place for a few hours → Spa Land (Centum City)
· Arriving late at night / staying overnight / sea views → Hillspa (24 hours)
· Hot spring only, cheap → Halmae-tang (7,000 KRW) or Spa Marine
· Open-air bath, a little more upmarket → Club D Oasis

If you're buying the VISIT BUSAN PASS (the city's official pass for foreign visitors), what you actually pay depends on which of these it covers — see the last section. Prices and hours come from venues' published information; the sign at the counter wins.

02

Spa Land Centum City — straight from the subway, a daytime jjimjilbang

Where — Centum City Station on subway Line 2 connects straight into Shinsegae Department Store Centum City; the entrance is at the back of the first floor.

Hours — 09:00–22:00, last entry 21:00. It closes a few days a year, so check the official site.

Price — adults 25,000 KRW (students 20,000, with an evening discount listed after 19:00). There is a set basic stay; go over it and you pay extra.

What's inside — natural hot-spring baths (separate for men and women, 18 pools) and a shared jjimjilbang zone (13 themed sauna rooms, an outdoor foot bath). Because the bath zone and the jjimjilbang zone are separate, you can skip the noisy side and just soak.

Good for — a first jjimjilbang, a rainy day, pairing with shopping.
Watch out — it closes at 22:00, so you can't sleep there. On weekend afternoons there can be a queue at the door.

03

Hillspa — 24 hours, on the hill over the sea

Where — on the Dalmaji-gil hill east of Haeundae. About a 20-minute uphill walk from Jung-dong Station exit 5 (Line 2); take a taxi if you have luggage.

Hours — jjimjilbang 24 hours, every day; bathhouse 06:00–24:00, so the baths close for part of the night.

Price — jjimjilbang + sauna 19,000 KRW on weekdays, 21,000 on weekends (published rates). Long stays can cost extra, so ask at the counter. Sauna only 10,000 KRW (3 hours). Body scrub from 30,000.

What's inside — floor-to-ceiling sea-view windows on every floor, outdoor foot baths on 5F, separate baths (women 2F, men 4F), a convenience store on 3F, sleeping rooms.

Good for — landing in Busan on a late flight, saving a night's hotel, resting with a sea view.
Watch out — the venue lists that guests with tattoos are not admitted.

04

Just a hot spring, cheaply — Halmae-tang, Spa Marine, Aqua Palace in Gwangalli

Halmae-tang (Jung-dong, Haeundae) — a seawater hot-spring bathhouse that opened in 1935 (renovated 2023). Public bath 7,000 KRW. There is a source pool listed at 60°C and no sauna room. 07:00–21:00 (last entry 20:00), closed Tuesdays. The second floor is private family baths (from 40,000 KRW for two), so couples and families with children can bathe together.

Spa Marine (Marine City) — uses seawater drawn from 1,000 m underground, according to the venue. 15,000 KRW for 4 hours, 06:00–22:00 (last entry 21:00), closed the second Wednesday of each month. Built around a German-style Bade pool.

Hotel Aqua Palace (Gwangalli) — 24 hours, every day; sauna 12,000 KRW. Jjimjilbang and sleeping rooms on 8F–9F, with a view toward Gwangan Bridge. Covered by the VISIT BUSAN PASS.

05

A little more upmarket — Club D Oasis and a hotel sauna

Club D Oasis (inside LCT) — an open-air hot-spring bath and a Finnish sauna (about 90°C). 10:00–21:30, closing early at 18:00 on Tuesdays. Spa ticket from 40,000 KRW, combined ticket from 60,000. Covered by the VISIT BUSAN PASS.

Grand Josun Busan sauna — on the hotel's 6th floor with full-height windows facing Haeundae Beach. 55,000 KRW for non-guests (27,500 for guests), 06:00–22:00, closed the third Tuesday of each month. No entry for children 12 and under; tattoos larger than 15 cm need to be covered with a patch.

06

The VISIT BUSAN PASS, and notes for the day

The pass — the City of Busan's official pass for foreign visitors. As of the published summer 2026 list, Spa Land, Club D Oasis, Hillspa (4 hours free) and Hotel Aqua Palace are all on the free list. Each venue once only. Prices and the venue list change, so check the official site before buying.

A sample route — shop at Centum City in the afternoon → a few hours at Spa Land → sleep at Hillspa. All within Haeundae-gu.

What to bring — outfits, towels and shampoo are provided almost everywhere. Scrubs are often cash only, so carry a little cash. Swimsuits are not allowed.

The baths are separated by gender and you go naked; the jjimjilbang is shared, in the outfit they give you.
