Head Spa in Hapjeong, Picked for Scalp Care — Two Places, One for Unwinding and One for Your Scalp (Easy Before a Gimpo Flight)
Want a head spa in Hapjeong, right next to Hongdae? We split it into "a day to unwind" and "a day to look after your scalp" and lined up two places for each (Mosante Head Spa Hapjeong and Damhyewon Scalp Lounge Hapjeong): courses and prices, location and hours, getting to Gimpo Airport afterwards, how to book and a few Korean lines, based on venues' published information and what venues told us.
Short answer — pick by what the day is for
· You just want to switch off mid-trip — Mosante Head Spa Hapjeong. The "Hinoki Forest Healing Spa", 60 minutes in a hinoki-scented room, 110,000 KRW. There's a side-by-side course for two as well (220,000). Daily 10:00–22:00
· You want your scalp properly looked after — Damhyewon Scalp Lounge Hapjeong. Scalp-care courses with scaling, a scalp pack and steamer plus a head spa, from 180,000 KRW for 60 minutes. Closed Sundays; Wednesdays until 18:00
Both are a few minutes' walk from Hapjeong Station, and you can pick a course, date and time on the LUWEI page and pay in advance by foreign card.
Both are LUWEI partner shops (LUWEI earns a commission on bookings made through its pages). Prices and hours come from venues' published information and what venues told us; LUWEI did not try the treatments to check them. Head spa and scalp care are not medical treatment, and how it feels varies from person to person.
How the two differ — "unwind" vs "scalp care"
Head spas in Seoul roughly split two ways.
Unwind-type — the focus is on working the scalp, neck and shoulders by hand and rinsing with warm water while you rest. Mosante describes itself as a hinoki-themed head spa that does "only the scalp"; reviews often mention a scalp massage that's thorough to the very end, hands that reach the trapezius, and no pressure to buy extras.
Scalp-care type — they look at your scalp and go through steps in order: scaling (clearing build-up), a pack, steamer, ampoules. Damhyewon's Scalp Lounge belongs to a scalp and hair-loss care brand; all three of its courses for overseas guests include a head spa, so you get care and rest in one sitting.
The rule of thumb is simple: if today is about emptying your head, Mosante; if your scalp has been bothering you lately, Damhyewon. There's no need to do both on the same day.

Where and when — fitting it in before Gimpo Airport
Mosante Head Spa Hapjeong — 4F, 8 Yanghwa-ro 11-gil, Mapo-gu. About 2 minutes' walk from Hapjeong Station Exit 2; there's a café on the ground floor and you take the lift up. Daily 10:00–22:00.
Damhyewon Scalp Lounge Hapjeong — Unit B207, B2, Delight Square 1, 14 World Cup-ro 1-gil, Mapo-gu (the Kyobo Bookstore Hapjeong floor). Right in front of Hapjeong Station. Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri, Sat 10:00–21:00; Wed 10:00–18:00; closed Sundays.
On the day you fly out of Gimpo — take Line 2 one stop from Hapjeong to Hongik Univ. Station, then the Airport Railroad to Gimpo Airport, roughly 15 minutes. Work back from your flight time — "60–90 minutes of treatment + 30 minutes to get there + check-in time" — and it fits on a last morning or afternoon. If you have a big suitcase, put it in the booking request so the shop knows ahead of time.
How to book — no Korean phone number needed
1. Open the shop's page on LUWEI
2. Under "Book", choose a course, date and time
3. Pay by foreign card (VISA, Mastercard, JCB, UnionPay, AMEX)
