Seoul Sauna Guide — From Local Bathhouses to Premium

Jjimjilbang, neighborhood bathhouses, private saunas — an honest guide to Seoul saunas.

2026-03-07 · 6 places

Which Seoul saunas are actually worth it?

Seoul has hundreds of saunas and jjimjilbangs, but blog reviews rarely tell the full story. These are places endorsed for what sauna lovers actually care about — heat quality, cold plunge, and proper rest areas.

Sauna vs Jjimjilbang vs Bathhouse — What's the difference?

Bathhouses focus on baths, jjimjilbang includes sauna rooms and sleeping areas, while saunas focus on Finnish-style heat bathing. We marked each place's style so you can choose based on what you want.

Club K Seoul — Premium Sauna with Jazz Lounge

15,000 KRW weekdays, 17,000 KRW weekends. A premium sauna near Seolleung station with separate club and sauna zones. Three saunas including a 92°C Finnish sauna, plus a jazz lounge and art collection. Private sleeping rooms, steam rooms, ondol rooms, and a book cafe for a full half-day experience.

Solo Sauna Repo — Private Space for One

45,000 KRW/60min, 55,000 KRW/90min. Self-service löyly in a hinoki Finnish sauna, with a rest area that simulates outdoor air bathing. All amenities, robes, and complimentary drinks included. 90 minutes feels almost too short.

Sammo Sporex — 24-Hour Large Complex

13,000 KRW daytime, 16,000 KRW evening. 5 min from Sillim station. The entire 12-floor building houses saunas, jjimjilbang, pool, and bowling. Open since 1992 — dated but functional, with an outdoor cooling area after the sauna. 24 hours, 8 hours free parking.

The Park Spaland — Clean Baths in Yeongdeungpo

10,000 KRW daytime, 11,000 KRW evening. Walking distance from Yeongdeungpo-gu Office station. Clean baths with a properly hot 88°C dry sauna and 17°C cold plunge for effective hot-cold cycling. Short scrub wait times. Bath area is separated from the crowded jjimjilbang.

Seoul Sauna — Price & Style Comparison

Budget saunas: The Park Spaland (10,000 KRW), Lemon Sauna (11,000 KRW). Premium: Club K Seoul (15,000 KRW). Private: Solo Sauna Repo (45,000 KRW+). Large complex: Sammo Sporex (13,000 KRW). For intense heat: The Park Spaland (88°C) or Club K (92°C). For privacy: Solo Sauna Repo.

Post-sauna routine at home

A great sauna experience can continue at home. Imabari Towel — The first touch after your post-sauna shower makes a difference. Once you try it, regular towels feel like sandpaper. (View item →) Aesop Room Spray — Your body is relaxed from sauna. One spritz before sleep takes you all the way. (View item →)
