NotesYuseong Hot Spring district has plenty of bath-and-stay options, but only a handful actually pump original spring water straight from 400 meters underground. Gyeryong Spa Tel is one of them. The water is rich in sodium and minerals — you can feel your skin getting slippery in the pool, and your body stays warm for a while after. The main bath hall fits 286 people, so it never feels cramped, and there is a separate sauna section. Doors open at 5 AM, making it easy to drop by for an early morning soak. You can also stay overnight, which makes it a convenient base for exploring Daejeon. The facilities are not brand new, but the water quality is widely respected in Yuseong.
Practical notes
A sauna in the Yuseong hot-spring area; the main-building basement sauna is considered quieter with better service than the annex. The outdoor bath is great in winter, and a jjimjilbang is available. Cold bath ~16–18°C.
