Motoyu, the 1,300-year-old famed bath, for ¥500. Hot bath at 44-45°C plus a milder 42-43°C bath. Silky, slippery spring water. The tower gate was designed by Kingo Tatsuno. Tonosama-yu private bath weekdays ¥3,800. Opens early at 6:30.
