01

Gangnam saunas — prices all over the map

Gangnam has it all — from $3 / ₩3,000 neighborhood bathhouses to $60+ / ₩80,000 private ritual saunas. We broke them down into three tiers: premium, mid-range, and budget.

02

Sisu House (시수하우스) — Finnish ritual sauna

$55–$60 / ₩75,000–79,000 (spa) · $65–$85 / ₩89,000–109,000 (recovery). A private Finnish ritual sauna in Sinsa-dong (신사동), Gangnam. Reservation only. They treat sauna as a full-on ceremony — a completely different world from your average bathhouse.

03

Spa Lei (스파레이) — women-only spa in Gangnam

$17 / ₩22,000 entry (10-visit pack $145 / ₩190,000 — 14% off). A women-only spa right on Gangnam-daero with a saltwater pool and infrared room. Open 24/7, year-round. If you go regularly, the coupon pack is a no-brainer.

04

Club K Seoul (클럽케이서울) — sauna with a jazz lounge

$11 / ₩15,000 weekday · $13 / ₩17,000 weekend. A big premium sauna near Seolleung Station (선릉역) that doubles as a cultural space — think jazz lounge and art on the walls. Open 24/7 with overnight stays available.

05

Rodeo Spa (로데오스파) — 24/7 near-infrared sauna in Apgujeong

Contact for pricing. A 24-hour co-ed sauna just a 2-minute walk from Apgujeong Rodeo Station (압구정로데오역). Known for its near-infrared sauna room and sleep area. Your closest bet for a 24/7 sauna in Apgujeong.

06

Riverside Medi Spa (리버사이드 메디스파) — men-only medispa

$19 / ₩25,000 daytime · $27 / ₩35,000 nighttime. A men-only medispa near Gangnam-daero with outdoor baths, cold plunge, and lukewarm pools, plus a seriously good scrub service. They also have screen golf and massage — perfect if you want to kill half a day.

07

Dormy Inn Gangnam (도미인 강남) — real Japanese sento vibes

Free for hotel guests. A Japanese sento-style hotel bath on Bongeunsa-ro (봉은사로), Gangnam. Open 3 PM to 10 AM next day. You have to be a guest to use it, but if you want authentic Japanese bath culture in Seoul, this is literally the only option.

08

Gangnam saunas sorted by price

Premium ($40+): Sisu House (Finnish ritual). Mid-range ($11–$27): Spa Lei (women-only), Club K (cultural), Riverside (men's medispa). Budget (under $8): Sungjiyeon Sauna (성지연사우나, $3–$5 / ₩3,000–7,000), Goldrose (골드로즈, $8 / ₩10,000). Japanese: Dormy Inn (hotel guests only). Each one is a totally different experience.

09

One thing to grab after your Gangnam sauna

Add just one thing at home after your sauna and the whole day hits different.

Imabari Towel — The first thing that touches your skin post-sauna matters. These are noticeably softer and more absorbent than regular towels. Highly recommended for anyone who saunas regularly. (View item →)
