Michelin 3 stars. 100% free-flowing source water (kakenagashi). The mushi-yu steam bath feels like a 90°C natural steam sauna — zero-visibility mist that upends what you thought a sauna was. Self-service sand bath +¥760. Quiet after 19:00. The uchitase-yu waterfall baths are a spectacular sight.
